Germany Zoo Animals Escape Cages Amid Severe Flooding

German police are cautioning residents in the western town of Luenebach to stay inside their homes after an undetermined number of lions and pumas broke out of a local zoo.

The animals have escaped from their enclosures at the Eifel Zoo in the western town of Luenebach, which is near the border with Luxembourg and Belgium.

People are urged to call police if they see the five predators, local media reports.

Sears to close store in Empire Mall
Also on the chopping block are stores at Genesee Crossing mall in Flint and Cherryland Center shopping complex in Traverse City. Sears Holdings has announced that the Kmart store in Laredo is part of its latest round of closures.

Authorities said that the mass breakout could have been caused after a river overflowed following heavy rainfall causing fences at the zoo to erode. At the zoo, which is located on a riverbank, the water was knee-high.

The drama peaked midmorning when the bear was discovered - and shot dead. It is home to some 400 animals, including around 60 exotic and native animals, according to Eifel Zoo's site.

Most were found on the grounds of the zoo and returned to their cages.

Pret chief executive officer Clive Schlee said 2017 was the ninth consecutive year of like-for-like sales growth. JAB , run by Peter Harf, Bart Becht, and Olivier Goudet, is the largest shareholder in beauty company Coty Inc.

Police in nearby Trier said that all of the escaped animals were believed to still be on the grounds of the zoo.

Italy has not had a government since it went to the polls in March, the longest such period in the country's postwar history. League leader Matteo Salvini , who is surging in opinion polls, seemed cool on the idea but did not rule it out.
