Warriors facing elimination but undaunted entering Game 6

Golden State will need to win away from home if it wants to keep its National Basketball Association title defence alive after it overcame a 17-point deficit to beat Houston in game six of the NBA's Western Conference finals series.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (23) celebrates with guard Klay Thompson during the second half of Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets in Oakland on Saturday.

The Warriors opened as five-point favorites at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook for Game 7.

After the game, he said, "We weren't ready to go home".

Saturday night's game takes place on the Warriors' home court, where they have only lost once in their last 17 playoff games. Game 7 is Monday night in Houston.

Twitter reacts to LeBron James' making clutch shots in Game 6
James is again able to become a free agent this season, with the Lakers, 76ers and Rockets among the most-mentioned destinations. Playing 47 minutes, he finished with 27 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists , two steals and two other blocks.

First, the lapses: Instead of playing with the kind of desperation and hustle needed to avoid elimination, the Warriors played with regular-season sluggishness.

Rockets star Chris Paul is receiving treatment "around the clock" on his injured right hamstring and coach Mike D'Antoni hopes it will only be a matter of days before he is healthy enough to play again. The Warriors bounced back with a solid second quarter before unloading a second-half onslaught that sucked the life out of the Rockets in a 115-86 win to force a Game 7 on Monday in Houston with an NBA Finals berth at stake.

"It would be a tough spot to put him in, with the weight of the game and not having played for a long time", Kerr said.

Houston's Most Valuable Player candidate James Harden dominated early, finishing with 32 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds. "We're still confident. We're a confident group, and we've just got one chance". Throwing fireballs in the first quarter inflated their point total but Houston's offense was lacking it's characteristic measure of control.

If the Golden State Warriors are anxious as they head into Game 6 of the Western Conference finals on the brink of elimination, they aren't showing it.

India imported 17.2 Million Tonne (MT) of crude in the month of April, down 5 per cent from 18.1 MT imported in the corresponding month last financial year.

The Rockets went on to score the final three points on free throws to go ahead 3-2 in a playoff series for the first time since 2009.

Fortunately, he has teammates like James Harden to help keep a smile on his face. Sympathy for Golden State's plight is likely to be scarce, given Paul's absence for Houston, but Golden State has clearly missed Iguodala's settling nature and passing instincts against Houston's unrelenting physicality.

One moment, it's a random December contest against the Kings, the next Thompson has 60 points in three quarters while barely dribbling the ball. We know what we have to do. "We're looking forward to going down there, locking in and being who we are", Durant said.

Tickets for Game 7 are on sale at the Rockets' website.

Their Eastern Conference final is also tied at three games apiece. "I used to be so hard on myself, especially early in my career", Thompson said.
