Fact-Checkers Bust Trump for False Claims During His Naval Academy Speech

President Trump touted his administration's push to increase military spending in a commencement address at the Naval Academy on Friday, telling graduating midshipmen that the US had regained its stride on the world stage.

Speaking to more than 1,000 newly commissioned Navy officers and Marines at Annapolis, the president said the USA has regained respect internationally through its military strength. "A lot of things have happened, we're respected again". A lot. We are not going to apologize for America.

The President was warmly received at the Academy, where graduates and their families gathered at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Trump has regularly praised Jackson, although at times with a questionable grasp of history.

Pieces of the explosive device recovered were sent to the FBI's laboratory in Quantico, Virginia, to be analyzed, Delacourt said. Two injured people are expected to survive after surgery and a third was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and released.

Mr. Trump pointed to the administration's $700 billion in spending this year to rebuild the military, plus $716 billion next year. We are going to stand up for our values.

The President also credited himself during the commencement speech for a shift in U.S. posture around the globe, vowing "no more apologies" on the world stage. No more apologies. We are going to stand up for our citizens.

"The best way to prevent war is to be fully prepared for war", said Trump, hoping that the grads would never have to use their "beautiful, new, powerful equipment".

During a commencement speech Friday at the Naval Academy, President Donald Trump stumbled into the tangled web of enunciation.

Philip Roth: A literary life in seven stages
Roth and Bloom were companions for several years before marrying in 1990; they separated in 1995. A memorial is being planned in NY , possibly in September, his biographer Blake Bailey said.

The president told the graduates that his interest in building up the military is as a means to prevent war but also told the graduates that "victory, winning, handsome words" would be the only option in the event of inevitable conflict. "I work in a museum and every single day people come in, whether or not they can pronounce Nevada the way I pronounce Nevada, it doesn't matter to me". That money will be used in part, Trump said, to grow the US fleet closer to his goal of 355 ships, up from the current count of about 280.

"Winning is such a great feeling isn't it?"

More than a thousand students graduated from the Naval Academy this year.
