Battlefield 5 takes players to the unseen locations of WWII

The single player mode War Stories, will continue on from Battlefield 1 in V and explore new diverse regions and unique untold stories of the soldiers who fought during WWII, including a resistance group in Norway, battling against the Nazi regime and the frosty elements.

Regardless of format, we finally received our first official details for Battlefield 5, which releases later this year on October 19.

Speaking on the panel, Battlefield's senior producer Andreas Morell said they wanted the gamers to go back to the unseen places of World War II, including Scandinavia and Northern Africa.

It is also probing the January crash of a Tesla vehicle apparently traveling in Autopilot that struck a fire truck. It concluded that, "She did not touch the steering wheel for the next 80 seconds until the crash happened".

Though rumors suggested that a prototype battle royale mode was being developed alongside the game, it was not revealed today.

However, fans that order the Battlefield V Deluxe Edition will get access three days early on October 16, while EA Access and Origin Access members will be able to jump into the Play First Trial on October 11. This is understandable, as EA stablemate Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was at the forefront of renewed scrutiny of loot box practices.

Dice seems to have taken the cue from certain other games that have seen success by taking a step back in time, and this return to roots also means that the game will be getting some of the classic modes like majority rule conquest back.

The big new mode for multiplayer in Battlefield V is Grand Operations, which builds upon the popular Operations mode first introduced in Battlefield 1, which similarly combines several modes and maps over one big match.

Battlefield V will support 4K resolution, HDR10, and variable refresh rate when played on the Xbox One X console and will still be completely compatible with the regular Xbox One and Xbox One S like all Xbox One-branded titles.

But hey, the lack of actual gameplay shown didn't prevent EA from making Battlefield 5 available for pre-order already. The developers have declared that players will have no way to get an unfair advantage in Battlefield V by paying more and there won't even be a series-standard DLC.
