Rapper TI Arrested Outside Gated Community Where He Lives

The rapper ended up getting arrested after security called police on him and the friend he was with. He has been released without bail.

T.I. tells TMZ. the guard at his gated community in Henry County, GA left out a lot of details when police arrived - like the fact he was sleeping at his post, and T.I. had to wake him up Wednesday around 4 AM. In fact, he doesn't even consider it to be an arrest more so than an inconvenience.

Since 2001, T.I has carried a high profile in the rap industry, with hits including "What You Know", "Live Your Life" with Rihanna and "Dead and Gone" with Justin Timberlake. I'm lookin' like yesterday man. 'With all we been through this is small potatoes, man'.

He ended the short video saying despite it all, he made it to his son's birthday and will "let God deal with the craziness". When things escalated, T.I. called his friend, Marquinarius Holmes, 40, who was arrested on outstanding charges from Clayton County and for not having proof of vehicle insurance, the sheriff's office told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The rapper said that he was wrongfully detained for being a rich Black celebrity in a predominantly white neighborhood.

Steve Sadow, the rapper's attorney, told WSB-TV in a statement that T.I.

In a statement given to Metro.co.uk, his attorney said: 'Tip was wrongfully arrested early this morning when he attempted to gain entrance into his gated community - where his wife "Tiny" and his family reside.

T.I.'s wife, R&B singer and songwriter Tameka "Tiny" Harris owns a home in the Eagles's Landing Country Club community that she bought in 2014. Tip clearly identified himself and sought entry. "Words were exchanged and apparently the guard and/or a supervisor called the police". He says he demanded the guard's name, but the guy refused.

The Intercept reported the request as confirmed by Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, who was an investor with the nation's sovereign wealth fund. The reports about the payments to Cohen drew largely on a "suspicious activity report" or SAR, filed by First Republic Bank.


He added: 'The guard continued to refuse entry without justification. "When the police arrived, they were not interested in hearing [T.I.]'s side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting [him]".
