Nanny to be sentenced in killing of two kids

The judge agreed with the defense arguments and sentenced to a life imprisonment without PAROLE.

"The defendant might think that she destroyed the Lulu and Leo, but she's wrong".

"I just wanted to wake up from this nightmare that I knew wasn't a nightmare".

The children's father and Marina's husband, Kevin Krim, was returning home from a West Coast business trip when police reached him at John F. Kennedy International Airport to share the tragic news.

"I insist on the fact that she was aware of his actions no more than a baby or a rough wild beast, "said Ortega's lawyer , Valerie van Leer-Greenberg".

Even Mickelson's fashion statement was a flop during Thursday's first round. Woods (72) wasn't a whole lot better on a day when 68 guys were under par.

Mr Krim spoke often about "Team Krim", while Mrs Krim spoke out against those who recommended bringing Ortega into their family as a nanny in the first place.

"The defendant set out to destroy what Kevin and I created and built: an inspired, happy, thriving family", Marina Krim said.

55-year-old nanny Yoselyn Ortega was found guilty of the murder of two children on April 18 as an insanity plea was ruled out by a jury.

At trial, Ortega's lawyer argued she should be found not responsible by reason of mental disease or defect - a bid the jury rejected after weeks of psychiatric testimony from experts on both sides.

He said they called Lulu "Our Little Buddha". "We believe that the 10 Principles of Creativity can help children across this city and this country build the social-emotional skills and resilience to thrive no matter what the world throws at them". "This defendant to this day has shown no remorse". To God, to Marina, to Kevin.

But de Villiers' reassuring presence was all that RCB needed, and he provided them that, keeping a calm head and seeing them home. For that to happen, they need to win their remaining three matches convincingly and hope other results will be favorable to them.

"As Nessie grows up, she will be asking Kevin and me deep, unanswerable questions about life that most parents avoid talking about with their kids", Marina Krim said. Ortega, who's from the Dominican Republic, had been recommended by her sister, a nanny for another NY family, and her background and references were faked by her family. "It was real", Krim told jurors.

Ortega claimed to hear the voice of the devil and was following his instructions. Ortega, a U.S. citizen originally from the Dominican Republic, had stabbed Lulu 30 times.

During the seven-week trial, jurors grappled with whether Ortega had been too mentally ill to understand what she was doing when she killed the children.

The children's parents, Kevin Krim, 42, and Marina Krim, issued statements thanking the judge and jurors and the district attorney's office.

Ortega had worked for the Krims for some two years before she killed their babies.
