Rooney agrees to deal to join DC United

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Everton chairman Bill Kenwright and majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri are now divided over Wayne Rooney's future at Goodison Park as the forward considers a potential move to MLS side DC United.

It is claimed Rooney has been offered a contract until the end of the 2020 season, although the MLS transfer window does not open until July.

In his 13 years at Man United, he won five Premier League titles, as well as the Champions League and the FA Cup.

The move, should it come to fruition, will bring an end Rooney's second spell at Goodison Park.

Rooney, 32, is reportedly set to sign with DC United in a deal worth as much as $14 million, according to BBC News.

Unemployment steady at 5.8% as wage growth reaches six-year high
The indicator, which is closely monitored by the Bank of Canada ahead of its interest-rate decisions, has been creeping upwards. Nationally, unemployment remained unchanged at 5.8 per cent, with 18.6 million Canadians employed last month.

Neither Everton nor Rooney's agents were available for comment, while sources at DC United said they did not comment on player speculation.

[Rooney] is on closer to £15million-a-year, meaning between them DC United, Manchester United and Everton must stump up the cash to make the deal viable.

However, nothing has yet been signed and there is still some uncertainty over how Everton boss Sam Allardyce feels about the deal.

Of course, having a player of Rooney's marquee should also help the club attract fans to the new stadium.

He has been courted by MLS club DC United for the past year and could see a move across The Pond as the next step for what could be the final stage of his glittering career.

A promising start to life back on Merseyside saw Rooney score 10 goals in 16 Premier League games - not a bad return for someone who was supposedly past it.

"Do I want him to stay?"

Wayne Rooney is set to quit English football and move to America's Major League Soccer this summer.

Mario Balotelli, Carlos Tevez, Javier Hernandez and Andres Iniesta have also been linked with the club.

Rooney suffered an injury in Saturday's draw against Southampton in Liverpool, England.

The offense would pick Tillman up, though, scoring nine runs in four innings off Royals starter Ian Kennedy and 11 in all. If that wasn't enough to get him going, which history overwhelmingly suggests it is, his last hit was the game victor .
