LG encounters issues in the supply of screens for new Apple iPhones

The Wall Street Journal reports that endeavors to get LG Display's OLED screens into the iPhone generation line have hit production issues. Many have called the validity of this report into question due to some rather freaky claims, but if it's true it means that the production of iPhone 11 OLEDS may be in trouble as we move closer to the release date. If it does, LG Display would be Apple's second source, as Samsung already supplies OLED displays to Cupertino.

Russia: Trump promised to make reciprocal visit to Moscow
On April 7, a number of NGOs, including the White Helmets, alleged that chemical weapons were used in Douma, Eastern Ghouta. President also said he would visit Moscow , Russia said on Friday. "Now, we have no moral obligations".

A recent report revealed that LG not meeting up Apple's requirements is forcing the company to stick with Samsung OLEDs. Apple likes to have multiple suppliers for each component because not only does it remove risk from the supply chain, it also allows the company to secure lower prices. Regarding LG, the Corporation uses its own OLED monitors for the V30, but the quality of Assembly left much to be desired. And that means consumers won't have to deal with the same problems Pixel 2 XL owners have faced.

Southwest voluntarily cancels flights to complete engine fan blade inspections
The FAA had proposed inspections last August and was going through the complicated rule-making process to get an order in place. The flight, which was headed from NY to Dallas with 149 people aboard, made an emergency landing in Philadelphia.

The inability of LG to produce iPhone 11 OLEDS to the standards required may cause problems for iPhone 11 production, as mentioned above. The dependence on a solitary provider implies Samsung controls estimating on the displays that Apple is purchasing - and there's no other option right now. Apple has reportedly asked LG to go through a third round of prototype production, an extra step that most component suppliers apparently don't need to go through.

If that is indeed the case, then not only will Apple need to rely on Samsung once again this year, it will be placing bigger orders due to not one, but two new iPhones requiring OLED panels.
