Kendrick Lamar Wins An Historic Pulitzer Prize

He first started making music and performing as a teenager under the stage name K-Dot before gradually gaining traction, making him one of the most groundbreaking artists in the industry today. In 1997, Wynton Marsalis became the first jazz act to win the Pulitzer Prize for music.

In a historic win, Kendrick Lamar on Monday was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in music for his album DAMN. It's a good look for Kendrick, who makes history as the first hip-hop artist to take home the prize.
