Eagles' Daryl Worley Tased, Arrested in Philadelphia

With Bennett already having been arrested in Houston on charges for injuring the elderly, the Eagles are not happy to see that their second new addition arrested as well.

Former Carolina Panthers cornerback Daryl Worley was arrested in Philadelphia early Sunday morning, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The arrest occurred at 6 a.m when Worley was found passed out inside a vehicle blocking a highway, per reports, when 911 was called.

Per Bowen, an Eagles spokesperson said the team is still gathering information about the incident involving Worley. Per the report, a taser was administered after Worley was combative with police.

A third-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2016, Worley recorded 152 tackles, 19 passes defensed and three interceptions in his first two seasons.

Back in 2014, according to Metro News, Worley pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault stemming from involvement with a nightclub altercation, ultimately getting a six-month suspended sentence. Rapoport also reported a gun was recovered at the scene.

According to, Worley is a Philadelphia native and graduate of William Penn Charter High School.

Jalen Mills, who started 15 games last season, and Ronald Darby, who was acquired in a trade from the Buffalo Bills last season, are expected to be the team's starters for the upcoming campaign.
