Continuing her glorious run at the 21st Commonwealth Games, Manika Batra on Sunday grabbed her fourth medal after winning the bronze in the mixed doubles table tennis competition in company of Sathiyan Gnanasekaran.

Overall, a 10-member Indian table tennis team secured eight medals (three gold, two silver and three bronze) medals in the Games, its best ever showing in the quadrennial event.

With 26 gold, 20 silver and as many bronze medals, India signed off third on the table - a promotion of two positions from Glasgow. In the first set, she won 11-7 to take an early lead in the final.

They briefly stuttered mid-match but finished strongly to win 11-5, 10-12, 9-11, 11-6, 11-8. He remains the only Indian to win the men's singles title at the Games.

The Indian star then comfortably overcame Yu, who won the women's doubles crown with Feng yesterday, 11-7, 11-6, 11-2, 11-7. The top seeds lost to an English pair in the final.

Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal had to settle to silver in the final of the women's doubles squash losing to New Zealand's Joelle King and Amanda Landers- Murphy.
