Restaurant serves up $30 tarantula burgers

Bull City Burger in Durham, NC is known for their tasty burgers.

The promotion is part of their sixth annual Exotic Meat Month, which celebrates the restaurant and brewery's anniversary by serving burgers made from meats eaten around the globe each March and April. CEO Pleads Guilty, Will Cooperate With Feds On Money Laundering
The website was taken down last week because the two founders and CEO were indicted on prostitution and money laundering charges. Five employees of the site also were arrested and pleaded not guilty, but Lacey and Larkin are the only ones in jail.

Normally finding a spider in your food would be a reason to send your food back to the kitchen, but at one North Carolina restaurant, the creepy-crawly is actually supposed to be there. Well, it's a like a regular burger, but with a cooked tarantula on top.

In order to try the unique burger, guests must pay $30 to enter a "tarantula raffle", and are rewarded for their bravery with a T-shirt to commemorate the challenge. "Best way to answer that question?" One lucky (?) victor per drawing gets to sink his or her teeth into the giant furry legs. Once the ticket is drawn, customers have two days to respond.
