Marcus Rashford could leave Man United after missing out on derby spot

Marcus Rashford feels being a Mancunian in the Manchester United team gives him an extra thrill and edge to perform for the fans.

The paper says the England striker is increasingly "frustrated" with life under Mourinho, having made only five starts in his last 16 games.

Boss Jose Mourinho brought on Rashford for only the last eight minutes at the Etihad Stadium, and the forward is said to be exasperated with his current cameo-role status.

Sanchez's arrival in January has further limited Rashford's chances to play.

"I can understand Rashford's frustration, because of the start to his career at Manchester United, but I just think he's at a football club where he is going to develop".

Marcus was really unhappy with being left out for the derby.

And he featured in every game this season up until missing the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United in February; only three attacking players - Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku - have made more appearances than him this term.

England manager Gareth Southgate has allegedly "privately expressed concern at Rashford's lack of club starts this season" and his advice may be crucial in determining the young frontman's future.

The former United forward seemingly sent Rashford the red trainers just because he wanted to - and, no doubt, for the publicity it would bring his new kicks.

"So I think you are playing not only for yourself and for the club, but for all the people that are living that dream through you".
