Respected PM to satisfy ego: Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu

The TDP leaders were taken away by the Delhi Police as they protested in front of the Prime Minister's residence against the "injustice" meted out to Andhra Pradesh and demanding special status for the state. Mr Kejriwal went to Tughlak Road Police Station on Sunday to meet TDP MPs who had been detained over protest for special status to Andhra Pradesh.

He said the TDP must fight for justice to five crore people of Andhra Pradesh, adding he would not step back until assurances made in the Rajya Sabha, including special category status and provisions of Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, were fulfilled. The TDP and the BJP have locked horns over the central assistance ever since the Union Budget was presented, with the former alleging that the Centre ignored its demand for special category status to the state. It is really sad that when the MPs went to meet the Prime Minister they were arrested.
