FDNY On Scene Of 4-Alarm Fire At Trump Tower

A fire erupted on the 50th floor of Trump Tower in NY late Saturday, the fire department said, adding there were no immediate reports of injuries.

Officials said a civilian was seriously injured and four firefighters suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the fire was not immediately apparent. Trump says it was "Very confined (well built building)".

Crews were called to the 50 floor of the building on Fifth Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday.

Social media posts showed smoke coming from the building and what appeared to be much of a part of the 50th floor in flames, with debris falling off the side. The New York City Police Department said it closed off several blocks around the area.
