Microsoft will bring its cloud to Switzerland and the Middle East

Microsoft will bring its cloud to Switzerland and the Middle East

Etisalat Digital, a business unit of Etisalat, is closely working with Microsoft to ensure efficient implementation of Cloud Solutions, offering integrated connectivity with Microsoft ExpressRoute as well as private cloud servers.

The new data centers underscores how cloud computing giants like Amazon (amzn), Microsoft, Google (goog), and IBM (ibm) are spending billions of dollars building out their infrastructure across the world so they can sell their technologies to non-U.S. customers.

Microsoft will deliver cloud services from its first datacenters in Switzerland as well as the Middle East.

Butler Agrees to deal with Titans
Three years later, he saw exactly one snap as his team was picked apart by Nick Foles in a 41-33 Super Bowl 52 defeat. Butler will be playing for former Patriots linebacker Mike Vrabel, a first-year head coach in Tennessee.

The two data centres, in partnership with Etisalat, will be located in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

This new cloud offering will complement the existing options now available for customers which include global services delivered from outside of Germany and the Microsoft Cloud Germany, which offers a unique cloud model that is physically and logically separated from Microsoft's global infrastructure and managed under a data trustee.

In terms of its expansion in Germany, Microsoft says that it will begin offering Azure, Office 365, and Dynamics 365 from new data center locations.

Packers to sign TE Jimmy Graham, cut veteran WR Jordy Nelson
The Green Bay Packers are releasing WR Jordy Nelson . "We wish Jordy, his wife Emily, and the rest of their family all the best". He bounced back for 1,257 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2016, but struggles this past season without Rodgers under center.

It can be cheaper and easier to deal with existing regulatory requirements if cloud-computing companies choose to lease and operate in existing data center facilities while also partnering with local companies.

"We are seeing significant demand from customers who want to expand their on-premise data lake into Microsoft Azure", said John Chirapurath, general manager of data platform marketing at Microsoft. The company's engagement with financial institutions and regulators in Switzerland, for example, has resulted in a deeper understanding of the local market, ultimately resulting in Microsoft's intent to be the first global cloud operator to introduce cloud regions in the country - specifically in Geneva and Zurich.

"If it's economically viable, I'll be happy to talk to you", Keane said when asked about possible Antarctica or Arctic data centers.
