IL trio linked to bombing cases at mosque and women's clinic

McWhorter admitted the involvement of the three men in the mosque bombing and the attempted bombing of the abortion clinic, as well as the involvement of all four men in a racially-motivated home invasion in IN and multiple Wal-Mart robberies in IL.

According to an official statement made by the U.S. Attorney's Office in IL, these men are also suspects in the attempted bombing of an abortion clinic.

A fourth man, 18-year-old Ellis Mack, also faces the gun charge, but he was not identified as a suspect bombing or attempted bombing. All are from Clarence, a rural community 35 miles north of Champaign-Urbana.

Prosecutors say Michael B. Hari, Joe Morris, and Michael McWhorter threw a pipe bomb through the window of the Dar Al-Farooq Islamic Center in Bloomington, Minnesota, causing extensive damage, but no injuries. The suspect told investigators he and the others did not intend to kill anyone in the mosque but wanted "to scare them (Muslims) out of the country".
