Cousins to visit Vikings, expected to sign

The Vikings could have played it safe at the quarterback position. But he also gets a chance to remove any doubt that it was an aberration and potentially hit the market again at age 32, just as he's likely approaching the prime of his career. In either case, Spielman would have signed a quarterback for a very reasonable and safe price.

Meanwhile in Denver, Broncos fans still hurting over losing Kyle Sloter last fall are praying to Saint Sebastian that Keenum isn't the quarterback he's been for all but one glorious season of his six-year National Football League career. That is up for debate.

With the new Vikings' signing setting a new standard, contract negotiations could become much less muddy if the top-tier quarterbacks refuse to settle for anything less than a fully guaranteed deal.

Pakistan's ex-PM Sharif dodges shoe thrown in seminary
During a visit to Jamia Naeemia seminary in Garhi Shahu, a former student threw a shoe on Nawaz Sharif. After the incidence, Khawaja Asif said that he should be released saying he has no enmity with him.

On Tuesday, it was also reported that former Vikings quarterback Case Keenum will sign with the Denver Broncos.

Keenum, 30, is coming off a career year in Minnesota, where he started 14 out of 16 regular-season games in place of the injured Sam Bradford. Last season, he surpassed the 4,000-yard mark for the third consecutive season, throwing for 4,093 yards with 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Since Favre's retirement in 2010, the Vikings have tried a bevy of quarterbacks from draft picks to free agent signings. Rather than negotiate a final time with Cousins, Washington traded for Alex Smith on January 30, agreeing to a four-year extension with the veteran. They basically didn't feel that he would repeat the season he had in 2017 and take the Vikings back to the NFC Championship and perhaps a level further to the promised land.

Most recently, Bridgewater saw action during garbage time of the Vikings Week 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals where he attempted two passes, one was incomplete and the other was intercepted. And Keenum's total deal, assuming Klis' numbers are accurate, will only narrowly exceed Cousins' 2018 salary alone. Coach Mike Zimmer recently expressed disdain for the concept of "windows of opportunity" in the NFL, but there is no denying that in this league they exist and they are short. Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs have formed a unsafe young duo of wide receivers, combining for 2,125 yards during the regular season.

The Treasury Department will auction $21 billion in 10-year notes on Monday, as well as $28 billion in three-year notes. Asia is "a market that the Middle East does not really want to give up", ING's Patterson said.

This move is a sensible one for the Vikings, though it does carry some risk. "The plan is to visit Minnesota first".

Cousins has a bigger arm than Keenum.

All of that being said, the Vikings have built their franchise the right way. With AP Photos. The Denver Broncos are hoping to repeat the success they had with Peyton Manning in pursuing another free-agent fix at quarterback. He has started every game for Washington since 2015 and earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2016.
