Nepal air crash: 49 dead as plane veers off Kathmandu runway

A US-Bangla Airlines Flt BS211, a DHC-8-Q400 (S2-AGU) has crashed on landing at Kathmandu, Nepal, during a thunderstorm.

All the 16 had gone to Bangladesh for training, he said.

The Q-400 has sustained several landing gear incidents over the years but this is just the second crash of the aircraft resulting in death.
