House intel committee finds no evidence of collusion between Trump campaign, Russian Federation

House intel committee finds no evidence of collusion between Trump campaign, Russian Federation

Conaway said it was clear the Russians were trying to sow discord in the 2016 United States election, but Republicans did not establish the same conclusions as the Central Intelligence Agency that they specifically were trying to help Trump.

The findings are part of a 150-page draft report that Rep. Michael Conaway, R-Texas, who oversees the committee's Russian Federation probe, announced on Monday. "With the 2018 primary elections already underway, and just 238 days until the midterm elections in November, it's important that we give the American people the information they need to arm themselves against Russian attempts to influence our elections".

House Democrats on the committee are likely to present a different story when they review the GOP report Tuesday, and release a rival one of their own in the coming weeks.

According to the AP the report will also counter a central conclusion of USA intelligence agencies that the Russians interfered in the 2016 election to help Trump win.

Rep. Mike Conaway of Texas says the panel's GOP members don't accept the finding that Russian Federation sought to help Trump. "That's what this next phase is about and we hope Democrats will join us in seeing this through".

Ben Stokes denies affray charge during 15-minute court hearing
The England cricketer Ben Stokes has appeared in crown court via video-link from New Zealand and pleaded not guilty to affray. Stokes is due to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after being sold for INR 12.5 crores to the Rajasthan Royals.

The public will not see the report until Democrats have reviewed it and the intelligence community has decided what information can become public, a process that could take weeks.

The President on Monday night tweeted about the summary report.

Last week the committee met behind closed doors for the second time with President Donald Trump's first campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski.

On Monday, Schiff excoriated House Republicans for ending the panel's probe before Mueller's team or the other congressional panels looking at Russian interference have finished their work.

The House GOP investigation failed to interview Manafort, or his partner Rick Gates, or Michael Flynn, or George Papadopoulos, all of whom have been indicted by Robert Mueller, and the latter three of whom are cooperating with his investigation. The statement also added that the Clinton campaign had obtained "anti-Trump research" from Russian sources, an apparent nod to the disputed Steele memo.

The first-leg ended in a goalless draw. "For me, the performance is globality and I'm really happy with Marcus". I have to give the credit to Mr [Louis] Van Gaal who was responsible for his first season in the first team.

Reflecting a deep partisan divide on the House of Representatives panel, Democrats have been arguing that the probe is far from over.

He is also investigating whether Trump has tried to obstruct the investigation, and is said to be discussing with White House lawyers whether the president himself will agree to be interviewed.

Schiff and the rest of the committee Democrats have complained that committee Republicans have failed to force witnesses to answer questions, to subpoena documents or to even attempt to look into potential financial entanglements among Trump, his associates and Russian Federation.

The panel also rejected the notion that Moscow had specifically attempted to boost Trump's White House effort, a conclusion reached by the country's top intelligence officials in a January 2017 report.

The investigation had made little forward progress since December, committee members said. "We can not through all of our investigation find [that]", Conaway said.
