A 30-minute SpaceX rocket ride in 2019

The founder of SpaceX and Tesla Elon Musk revealed his grand plans for another breakthrough at a surprise Q&A session at the annual technology and culture festival in Austin, Texas, as he claimed his project SpaceX's interplanetary spaceship could have its first test flight in the first half of 2019.

According to Elon Musk, we may be heading to Mars as soon as next year, but he has also stated that for those fearless enough to make the journey there's a "good chance you will die". "For the people who go to Mars, it'll be far more unsafe. But there will be some who will, for whom the excitement of frontier and exploration exceeds the danger", he added.

Although the interplanetary ship would be able to take us to Mars next year, Elon Musk did elaborate on how the pioneering travelers might face some significant obstacles - perhaps making great sacrifices for the future of space travel.

Nepal air crash: 49 dead as plane veers off Kathmandu runway
A US-Bangla Airlines Flt BS211, a DHC-8-Q400 (S2-AGU) has crashed on landing at Kathmandu , Nepal , during a thunderstorm. In 2012, a plane carrying trekkers to Mount Everest region hit a bird and crashed in Kathmandu , killing all on board.

When questioned about donning the role of the "God-Emperor of Mars" Musk replied that he would rather let the people choose their leader, while he would help in the creation of a simplified law system.

The rocket ship that is expected to eventually get to the Red Planet is the BFR rocket system. "This is a very big booster and ship". Musk reiterated his last note about how risky it's going to be, and admitted again that a lot of people are going to die.

Another big change Musk foresees happening on Mars is the abandonment of a representative democracy in favor of direct democracy, where every person on the colony has one vote rather than using a congress or electoral college. But after this, he promised an "explosion of entrepreneurial opportunity, because Mars will need everything from iron foundries to pizza joints to night clubs".

Meet the front-runner to replace Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein
In 2009, Schwartz' department made more than $33 billion for the bank. Solomon has several pursuits outside of the Wall Street bank. Shares of Goldman Sachs finished up 1.0 percent to $273.38.

Either way, the South African-born engineer conceded, his timeline for launching test flight rockets to Mars is "optimistic".

SpaceX estimates the BFR will enter the Mars atmosphere at 7.5 kilometres per second.

What once sounded like science fiction is actually nearing reality as each day passes by and Elon Musk and SpaceX [VIDEO] believe that they could showcase their marvelous reusable rockets in early 2019.

Austin package bombs might be linked to other deadly attack
Following the second explosion hours later, he said authorities had not settled on a motive and could not rule anything out. If you receive a package you are not expecting and do not recognize the sender or something doesn't seem right, call 911.

SpaceX launched the world's most powerful rocket, the Falcon Heavy, last month, sending Mr Musk's red Tesla Roadster vehicle toward an orbit near Mars.
