Davis' return not enough as Pelicans routed by Jazz

Davis' return not enough as Pelicans routed by Jazz

With all the impressive and dominating performances he's had in his National Basketball Association career, it's hard to imagine that Anthony Davis has not recorded a triple-double yet.

The Jazz were able to win while weathering a triple-double effort from Davis, who was cleared to play shortly before the tipoff.

Davis is enjoying an MVP-caliber season with averages of 28.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.5 steals. The team was saved by Rubio's tremendous first half, and at halftime, only a Jrue Holliday 3-pointer separated the Pelicans from Utah, who trailed 51-48.

From there, 428 employees turned out at Granite's 1 Saving by Shaving event and raised over $2.2 million to benefit Dana-Farber. The company pledged to give over $5 million to the cancer institute if 1,000 people shaved their heads or beards.

The New Orleans Pelicans announced that superstar big man Anthony Davis will play Sunday against the Utah Jazz.

Then Mitchell took over, scoring 15 straight Jazz points as they surged to a 78-74 lead after three quarters.

In the most recent game February 5, Mitchell was one of six from the field in 19 minutes, but it mattered little as the Jazz rolled to a 133-109 victory in New Orleans.

Virgin Trains said services running to and from the station may be cancelled, delayed or terminated until further notice. A spokesman for Network Rail said: "The station will remain closed until all protesters have been removed".

Utah's suffocating defense never allowed New Orleans back in the game and the Jazz lead never fell below seven points in the fourth quarter. Utah finished with a 55-38 rebounding advantage.

Davis tied his own franchise record with six blocks in one half. While he wasn't the leading scorer in the 116-99 victory - that was Ricky Rubio - Mitchell altered the game so profoundly, New Orleans could not recover.

Life without Boogie: The Pelicans dropped to 11-7 since star center DeMarcus Cousins suffered a season-ending Achilles injury.

A MA newspaper has challenged Warren to clear up questions about her claims to Native American heritage by taking a DNA test. Trump derisively refers to Warren as "Pocahontas" to mock her claim about being part American Indian.

Attendance: The announced attendance was 18,062 (sellout). Tuesday's matchup will be the final contest of New Orleans' current three-game homestand.
