White House on lockdown after shots fired

President Donald Trump is in Florida at Mar-a-Lago.

Secret Service said there were no other injuries aside from the male victim, who "allegedly suffered a self-inflicted gun shot wound".

This is the second red alert at the White House in less than 10 days.

Law enforcement said they have identified the man but are not releasing his identity, according to CBS News.

While as many as 100 people - mostly tourists - were on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House at the time, no one else was reported hurt, the Secret Service said.

Reporters at the White House tweeted about sheltering in place.
