Jennifer Lawrence Says She Auditioned for 'Twilight'

She told host Howard Stern the one role she was "devastated" to lose was Alice in Tim Burton's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.

Of her missing the role in the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland, "That one devastated me".

The Oscar victor was still trying to break into Hollywood when she auditioned for the big gig, but the director cast actress Mia Wasikowska as Lewis Carroll's fantasy character in the 2010 adaptation, and Lawrence was heartbroken.

Ultimately, not falling down the rabbit hole seems to have worked out just fine for Jen.

Lawrence also noted that still remembers the coveted role went to actress Emma stone, but Jennifer did not specify that this was for the role.

"You just get, like, five pages, and they're like, 'Act, monkey!'" Lawrence then goes on to talk about the YA franchise she did end up starring in: The Hunger Games. Yes, Jennifer auditioned for the role that made Kristen Stewart a household name! Jennifer has admitted that he was shocked by the popularity of "Twilight": "When the movie came out, my reaction was something like "damn it, that's fine".

"I didn't really know what it was". "She was ideal and awesome", Lawrence gushed, admitting, "I couldn't have had a British accent (sic)". I get to act and I'm not that famous.'" She continued, "That was what was nice about the sitcom. "I knew it was going to be a life-changer.", Lawrence shared, admitting she anxious about getting typecast and "only being known for that character". "I knew [The Hunger Games] was gonna be a life-changer, and the other fear was only being known for that character".
