FBI Counterintelligence Officials Probing Ivanka Trump Business Deal

"It's standard procedure to probe foreign contacts and worldwide business deals as part of a background check investigation", says the CNN story, which focuses on Ivanka Trump's role with the Vancouver hotel.

She was the point person on the $360-million Vancouver development, which opened in 2017 shortly after President Donald Trump took office.

The Trump Organization does not own the building in Vancouver - as is the case in numerous Trump projects, the name Trump is licensed to the actual developer, in this case Malaysian billionaire Joo Kim Tiah.

CTV Vancouver is reporting that an FBI investigation has been launched into the negotiations and financing for Trump International Hotel and Tower Vancouver.

It is unclear why the Federal Bureau of Investigation might be interested in the business dealings between Ivanka and Joo Kim, although CNN said it could be related to the timing of the property's opening, after Trump took office.

Haunted: Students face fears on return to scene of Florida school shooting
In Broward County, grand juries typically begin hearing high-profile cases within 21 days of the suspect's arrest. In each classroom, colored pencils, coloring books, stress balls and toys were available to help students cope.

CNN said the flow of foreign money, either from the developer or global condo buyers, could be sparking scrutiny.

News of the investigation comes after numerous reports this week that the president, his son Donald Trump Jr. and his son-in-law Jared Kushner have become potential targets in the special counsel investigation that began over Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election.

The Trump Organization receives licensing and marketing fees from Tiah, who runs his family's Canada-based development company Holborn Group. It's unclear why the F.B.I.is interested in the deal, which dates back to 2013, and in which Ivanka played a key role.

According to the report, a financial disclosure form by Trump last June revealed that the Trump Organisation made more than US$5 million in royalties and US$21,500 in management fees from the Vancouver property.

A spokesperson for Ivanka Trump's legal team said in part, referring to her security clearance, that "Nothing in the new White House policy has changed Ms. Trump's ability to do the same work she has been doing since she joined the Administration". The Holborn Group did not respond to requests for comment.

Brendan Rodgers 'on list of candidates' to replace Arsene Wenger
Wright, who played 213 games in seven years at Arsenal , says the club were stagnating well before the League Cup final drubbing. As a result, reports claimed on Tuesday morning that Wenger's position as manager will be reviewed at the end of the campaign.

Separately, the White House announced Wednesday that Communications Director Hope Hicks, one of the president's most trusted aides and former staffer for Ivanka Trump, was resigning.

Tiah says his initial pitch to the Trump Organization was quite similar to what viewers would see in The Apprentice. In other words: "no one else is in the room, you gotta understand that, '" Tiah said in the video.

"Behind the Trump brand is a family business just like mine, so I can trust their longevity in the business".

"Ivanka and myself approved everything, everything in this project", Tiah added.

North Korea open to talks with United States
In response to the general's comments, the White House reiterated Pyongyang must first take concrete steps towards disarming. He's helping us with North Korea", Trump said, crediting the relationship he has built up with the Chinese leader.
