Trump Threatens To Pull Law Enforcement From California

According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, agents arrested a total of 145 people in Austin, San Antonio, the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo and Waco in the seven days leading up to February 16.

Complaining that California was not complying with his hardline position on migrants, Trump warned he could cut vital help from Washington and prompt a crime wave.

Trump said crime would explode in California if he took such an action - and predicted that the Golden State would be "begging" for the return of federal immigration authorities within two months.

House declares pornography 'public health risk'
A companion resolution in the Senate (SR 480), backed by Lakeland Republican Kelli Stargel , has not been heard. He shared an article that showed a 16-year-old student sobbing from the gallery as the vote was blocked.

In January, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra warned businesses that if they helped authorities in sweeps to find immigrants, they would violate the Immigrant Worker Protection Act, The Sacramento Bee reported.

The administration stepped up criticism of California after January 1, when a law took effect to largely prohibit state and local law enforcement agencies from detaining people at ICE's request unless they have been convicted of any of hundreds of crimes outlined in a 2013 state law.

Trump lashed out against California during remarks he made Thursday during a White House event on school safety.

Following a countdown to the big launch, the event officially began with Sachal Orchestra playing the national anthem of Pakistan. The Lahore Qalandars and reigning champions Peshawar Zalmi didn't take long in joining their rivals in the middle.

ICE referred questions to the White House, where spokesman Raj Shah said the administration wanted California "to actually enforce immigration law rather than get in the way of it". They would be begging. He said the state was "doing a lousy management job" and criticized it for high taxes. "All I'd have to say is ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] and Border Patrol, let California alone, you'd be inundated, you would see crime like nobody's seen in this country". And you know what?

We firmly believe that law enforcement must prioritize risky criminals, not undocumented immigrants who do not pose a threat to public safety. Under laws signed by Governor Jerry Brown, a Democrat, federal immigration officials must produce a warrant to gain access to California work sites, and bars employers from sharing confidential employee information such as Social Security numbers without a subpoena. My division of law enforcement is doing that right now.
