The Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian posts in Tangdhar sector in Kupwara district this afternoon, the Army official said. The sources have also assured the matter will be taken to the Pakistani side.

On February 11, three civilians including two women were injured in Indian firing along the LoC in Battal, Hot Spring and Khuiratta sectors.

Sources said the Army had specific inputs suggesting that the Pakistan Army, along with militants, had concentrated in Gulpur area on its side to target Indian posts along the LoC. The Pakistani helicopter violated Indian air-space and came within 300 meters of the LoC and went back.

Another official said India was blaming Pakistan for the tension. There was immediate retaliation from the armed intruders.
