While much of the attention will be placed on Austin Dillon's Daytona 500 win and the ensuing aftermath, many eyes were placed on Darrell "Bubba" Wallace he finished just behind his "technical alliance" teammate.

Bubba Wallace, far left, and Denny Hamlin made contact past the start-finish line.

"I blew my right front tire out when he came down and side drafted me, so I didn't have any control of my auto because when he came down there, I was just on the yellow line", Hamlin explained to reporters after the race. "I love you. I'm so proud of you", his mother replied. Wendell Scott, who made the last start for a black driver in the Daytona 500, is the only one to win a Cup race, on December 1, 1963. "He's really eager to show what he can do and that he belongs in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series". I just want to make them proud.

Despite all the pressure for his first race on NASCAR's biggest stage, the man known as Bubba rose to the occasion, running in the front of the pack all day and eventually finishing second.

Citi downgrades Snap, cuts price target as users lash out over redesign
These GIFs can be scaled, rotated, and pinned to a video story; more than one GIF can be added to a snap . It said that it is changing some parts of the redesign to try and make them more palatable to users.

Ryan Blaney, Wallace's best buddy and frequent partner-in-party on social media, said Wallace will finally get to show off all his talent. "I look up to him". "I know the cars drive insane and whatnot and they're a handful but it just didn't seem like that right away, but it was tough to see from that angle anyways".

For the first time, the NASCAR Racing Experience badge and racing graphics will be featured on the hood and body of a race vehicle in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, bringing to life the experience the NASCAR Racing Experience offers thousands of fans at tracks around the country.

It wasn't Darrell "Bubba" Wallace's first race or his final one.

As many likely remember, Hamlin recently said 70 percent of NASCAR drivers use Adderall. In response, Wallace cracked she was acting like he'd won the race. I was kind of pumping myself up, but at the same time trying to stay focused on the task at hand and not mess up.

Lindsey Vonn Breaks Down in Tears After Winning Bronze at 2018 Olympics
Goggia started fifth and put down the time to beat of 1 minute, 39.22 seconds on the Jeongseon Alpine Centre downhill course. But it's always an honor to race with Lindsey Vonn ... "To have my family here as well, we're all very emotional".

"That makes you feel good. I've never done it at this level". It was the highest finish by an African American in NASCAR since Wendell Scott's lone win in 1964.

But none of the black drivers who raced before arrived with this kind of full-blown promotional push, acceptance in the garage and a solid ride that got him a seventh-place start in the Daytona 500.

Wallace was overcome by his emotions when he sat down to take questions. He ran well enough to earn the full-time ride in the No. 43 auto this year after Almirola left for Stewart-Haas Racing. "Three different times. All because nothing was going to slow him down - not right now", Petty said. "We knew we wouldn't sit on the pole, but we knew the auto was strong".
