Lindsey Vonn Breaks Down in Tears After Winning Bronze at 2018 Olympics

Vonn had hurt her knee multiple times and she fractured her arm so intensely that she still has 20 screws and a metal plate in her forelimb.

After winning the bronze medal in Women's Downhill at the 2018 Winter Olympics on February 20, Lindsey Vonn teared up knowing her career will soon be coming to an end.

Meanwhile, reflecting on her gold-medal win, Goggia told Eurosport: "It was a really smart race". And when she reaches the finish line, a golden but tumultuous Olympic career will likely be over.

"I'm sad. This is my last downhill", Vonn told NBC.

"I haven't changed my mind", Vonn said.

Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan gets married for third time
Said to be of the Wattoo tribe, Maneka is believed to be in her 40s, making her close to two decades younger than her new husband. The "simple ceremony" took place at Bushra's brother's home, where her family members were present, but Khan's sisters weren't.

Goggia started fifth and put down the time to beat of 1 minute, 39.22 seconds on the Jeongseon Alpine Centre downhill course. Her skis seemed on edge and rattling more often than Goggia's, and after a bit of a miscue coming off the third jump in the course, Vonn trailed Goggia by almost a half-second. "Everyone is, like, bowing to Lindsey".

Russian teenager Alina Zagitova produced a spellbinding, world-record short program on Wednesday to overshadow Olympic rival and compatriot Evgenia Medvedeva. And while many critics tweeted at her to keep her mouth shut and stop being political, they ironically made it political by making Trump the focus.

Mowinckel was just 0.09 secs behind Goggia after a blistering final run. "It's been fun", she said. I thought I had the turn finished sooner than I did and I lost elevation. "I would like to see more action, more speed, more hard spots". Then, her only choice was being the first starter.

This all started back in December when Vonn gave an interview to CNN.

Social media brickbats followed Vonn throughout her Games, at one point drawing her comment, "I'm the most American person you will ever find".

Hornets not extending contract of GM Rich Cho
According to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski , Michael Jordan and the Hornets will pursue former Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak . Meanwhile, Kupchak himself was once a great player for the Tar Heels, so it's easy to see the common thread there.

It reaffirmed the fine form she has shown on the World Cup circuit this season, with two victories and two second places in the downhill, and also second and third placings in the super-G.

"I've tried not to think about it as being my last Olympic downhill and just focus on the moment", she said after Monday's training session. Vonn won the women's downhill and took bronze in the Super-G. They're all different but this latest one will surely carry plenty of meaning. At the age of 33, Vonn made history Wednesday in Pyeongchang, South Korea, as the oldest Olympic female alpine medalist.

"We'll see what happens, but I would say 99% sure this is my last Olympics".

"Ragnhild is an awesome competitor, and she has really been stepping up in the last few weeks". But it's always an honor to race with Lindsey Vonn ... "To have my family here as well, we're all very emotional". Goggia referred to Vonn as "definitely the favorite".

Vonn also tweeted that Wednesday "will most likely be my last Olympic Downhill race".

CBI raids Rotomac Pens owner's residence
The Kanpur-based company's owner had taken loans from consortium of seven public sector banks. He said a residential apartment and office premises of the accused in Delhi have been sealed.

Eight years ago, Lindsey Vonn blew up as one of the faces of the Vancouver Winter Olympics. She entered Saturday's event ranked No. 2 in the World Cup standings. "It's downhill, it's high speed, it's big air, you really have to have some guts to send it down, I think that's what I have and what Sofia has too, that's why I like her so much", vonn said. She might not be known as a speed event specialist, but Shiffrin is now ranked fifth in the World Cup downhill standings and could pull out a podium finish.
