The holiday was established nationwide in 1885 to recognize George Washington's birthday on February 22. However, through the years, it has come to be a time to honor the birthdays of all USA presidents - past and present.

Of course, most of his fans probably don't have $1 million to spend, but Drake wants people to give back in any way they can. Instead of shooting a lavish video, the 6 God chose to give all that money to the 305, better known as Miami, FL.

This began as a holiday to celebrate America's first President, George Washington, and It later evolved to be a day to honor all of our past commander-in-chiefs. Past Presidents have often recognized the holiday with visits to Washington's tomb.

The bill also included a provision to include Abraham Lincoln's birthday, February 12, to the holiday.

That's a good reason to either have cake today or forego any party activities, depending on your like or dislike of the current president - although officially, the day is still called "Washington's Birthday".
