Luke Wilson, pro golfer Bill Haas involved in fatal auto crash

American golfer Bill Haas has left hospital after being involved in a auto crash which left one person dead and two injured, Los Angeles police said.

Haas is "doing OK", Los Angeles Police Department Police Detective Jeff Fischer told KTLA.

Haas is in Los Angeles for a golf tournament this week.

The pilots are now hospitalized and it's unclear at the time of this writing what led to the downing of the IAF plane. Pentagon spokesman Adrian Rankine-Galloway said the United States fully supports Israel's right to defend itself.

The Los Angeles Fire Department announced a 35-year-old male (Haas) and a 50-year-old female were injured and taken to a local hospital.

Haas, a six-time victor on the PGA Tour, was in L.A. for this week's Genesis Open at Riviera Country Club.

The police said actor Luke Wilson was also involved in the crash when his SUV was sideswiped by the Ferrari before the fatal accident. The PGA statement said that the person killed was a member of the family hosting Haas and his family for this weekend's Genesis Open.

Haas, 35, from Charlotte, North Carolina now ranks 67th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

"Bill was very fortunate", he said. Their vehicle was also "impacted" by the Ferrari, but they were not injured, the LAPD spokesperson said.

Bill Haas has been a regular at Wyndham Championship playing every year that's he's been a professional. There were no broken bones but Haas did report some pain and swelling in his legs. He's the son of longtime PGA Tour pro Jay Haas, and has appeared on 3 Presidents Cup teams.

Suspect wounded, SUV stopped after shooting at NSA gate
News reports later suggested the two occupants of the vehicle may have been under the influence of drugs after attending a party. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation and there's no ongoing threat, the NSA said in a statement.
