A teacher of another reputed school has been charged with sexually assaulting a minor.

"We have taken the teacher with us to the police station", the official said.

The government had asked all schools to implement foolproof security measures on their campuses, but today's incident showed there were gaps in the system, he added. "Malay uncle used to travel with us in the same school bus", the student told the media. There is serious objection to this.

State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee told a TV channel, "We have already set guidelines for schools to follow. They have assured us that the CCTVs will be working from tomorrow again", CWC representative Sudeshna Ray said.
