'Venom' Teaser: Tom Hardy Crosses Over to Marvel

'Venom' Teaser: Tom Hardy Crosses Over to Marvel

Whether or not Spider-Man - who played a significant role in both stories - will make an appearance remains unclear.

Tom Hardy's Venom looks incredible! Sadly, though, it lacks any footage of Venom in-costume.

Secondly, when Eddie talks about a break-up, there is an immediate shot of Michelle Williams' character Anne Weying, Brock's ex-wife in the comics. "Whatever it is... you used to be one thing, and now... you're something else".

The "Hotline Bling" singer also said that he will be giving away new uniforms for all of the students. I received those scholarships and thought that was the end of it.

Tom Hardy gives a blood-chilling performance in a new teaser for Venom.

Parker: I like Tom Hardy a lot, I do, but he is going to have to be incredible in this for me to believe he is Eddie Brock.

But Venom is a superhero movie, which means that, at some point, audiences may have the odd expectation to actually see the character the movie is named after.

New quake shakes Taiwan's Hualien as death toll rises
Local broadcaster SET TV ran an interview with a man who said he was the husband of one of the Chinese mainland victims. Taiwan, a self-ruled island that China considers part of its territory, is prone to earthquakes.

The number one thing most fans will notice upon the trailer's completion is that we don't get a single image of what Hardy looks like as the titular character.

Lastly, right after Eddie says that we all have our own problems, there's a series of action shots, depicting Eddie running through a medical facility, most likely the Life Foundation. One of three villains in the overstuffed threequel, with just a few minutes of screen time, this Venom was widely viewed as shoehorned into the last of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies, and fans were not impressed.

The upcoming film, though, is a stand-alone venture that bears no link to this summer's "Spider-Man: Homecoming" starring Tom Holland. The film is still in development and this is going to be a character highly dependent on special effects, so maybe the good stuff they want to show us just isn't ready yet. The first trailer for Venom then concludes with the camera returning to Brock on the MRI bed as he begins to convulse uncontrollably. Though, I'd suspect we won't see that in this movie.

This news, of course, comes quickly after we laid eyes on a brand-new trailer for Solo : A Han Solo Story. Though some may be excited about the news, people on Twitter were a bit skeptical.
