Russian Federation claims to have met requirements of the new START Treaty

"The United States completed its reductions and achieved these limits in August 2017" while Russian Federation "has repeatedly stated its commitment to the New START Treaty", Nauert said.

According to SIPRI data, Russian Federation has 7,000 nuclear weapons while the United States follows closely with 6,800.

According to a U.S. State Department document issued on September 1, 2017, Russian Federation had 501 deployed nuclear delivery means and 1,561 deployed warheads, whereas the United States had 660 deployed nuclear delivery means and 1,393 deployed warheads. It means bringing nuke warhead numbers down to 1,550 and cutting down the number of delivery vehicles like missiles and bombers to 700-800 for each side. "Our focus in the near term is on that next data exchange, after which we hope each country will confirm the other's compliance with the Treaty's central limits as soon as possible". As of February 5, 2018 our aggregate potential is as follows: "527 operational intercontinental ballistic missiles, operational submarine-launched ballistic missiles and operational heavy bombers; 1,444 warheads on operational intercontinental ballistic missiles, operational submarine-launched ballistic missiles and operational heavy bombers; 779 operational and non-deployed ballistic missile launchers, operational and non-deployed submarine-based ballistic missile launchers and operational and non-deployed heavy bombers". Consequently, the review said the US would modify "a small number" of existing long-range ballistic missiles carried by Trident strategic submarines to fit them with smaller-yield nuclear warheads. The data also revealed that Israel, which has never denied or confirmed having nuclear weapons, has 80 warheads in its nuclear arsenal and North Korea was predicted to have at least 20 of the weapons of mass destruction.

MLK speech used in truck ad railed against consumerism and ads
Martin Luther King Jr . certainly had a dream, and it's safe to say that it didn't have anything to do with selling pickup trucks. The ad shows people doing community service projects and urges people to be "great" by serving the greater good.

Last year, Trump derided New START as one of the "bad deals" made by former President Obama, saying it was "one-sided".

The U.S. and Russian Federation would exchange data on their respective strategic nuclear arsenals within the next month, as they had done twice per year over the last seven years in accordance with the Treaty. The new policy calls for expanding US nuclear capabilities, with an eye on countering Russia's growing nuclear power.

In Monday's statement, Nauert said the United States "remains committed" to arms control efforts and "will continue to fully implement" New START. The first START Treaty, or the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty was a bilateral treaty between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) on the reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms.
