Children Have Died From the Flu in New York City

New York City officials said two children have died from the flu, including an 8-year-old girl from Queens.

The child was given the medication after showing symptoms of the illness, but she still had trouble breathing a day later in her family's apartment in LeFrak City in Corona, the sources said.

Police said her parents tried to perform CPR and officers tried to help, as well. Savanna Jessie, who lived with her father, was found unresponsive in her home and then rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
