Winter Storm to Impact Travel Sunday Night and Monday

Though Monday will look far different, there is still plenty of time to get out and run those errands before the snow starts to fly.

Conditions will then rapidly deteriorate on Monday.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Winds could gust up to 45 to 50 miles per hour.

"Snow accumulations will be significant, with a swath of 6-10" now forecast through the Chippewa Valley, stretching southwest down towards the Rochester, MN area.

Other parts of Iowa and a section of Nebraska from north of Omaha to an area south of Hastings could see a wintry mix and freezing rain. This may make for an icy Monday morning drive.
