President Trump has common form of heart disease-Mayo Clinic

The president's current weight is 239 pounds and the set goal is to lose 10-15 pounds this year.

"He did. He had a - so technically, he has nonclinical atherosclerotic coronary - coronary atherosclerosis", Jackson said.

To that end, Jackson will be working with the president to establish a regular exercise program, and will bring in dietitians to consult with White House chefs on healthier meals. But Trump's exam has taken on heightened scrutiny amid questions about his mental fitness.

"All clinical data indicates that the president is now very healthy, and that he will remain so for the duration of his presidency... the president's overall health is excellent", said Jackson.

"When you look at the findings you just put up there, Alisyn - this coronary calcium score is a score a lot of cardiologists use to try and be predictive and be proactive", Gupta said.

"He has a history of elevated cholesterol, and is now on a low dose of Crestor".

Meghan Markle Says Prince Harry Is a Feminist, Too
Indeed, in March of 2016 Prince Harry was tagged as a feminist after he delivered a speech at the Nepal Girl Summit in Kathmandu. The pair arrived in Cardiff for their second joint royal engagement of 2018 and yes, they really did catch the train there.

Despite the diet and cholesterol concerns, Jackson stressed that Trump's "cardiac health is excellent".

Based on the blood profile and other health parameters, Jackson said he has recommended diet and exercise plan for the president for weight loss.

Speaking during the White House press briefing on Tuesday, Dr Jackson said: "I've got to know him pretty well and I had absolutely no concerns about his cognitive ability". The cognitive assessment was administered at the request of the President, with Dr. Jackson saying Trump "asked me to do it".

Still, at the president's request, Jackson did an assessment to screen for any cognitive impairment such as Alzheimers - and Trump got a flawless score.

But hundreds of people tweeting with the #GirtherMovement hashtag are accusing the U.S. president, 71, of lying about his weight.

Regarding his physical health, he said he had dieted successfully before.

Donald Trump said 'shithouse' and not 'shithole', claims White House source
Dr Jackson has already increased Mr Trump's cholesterol-lowering medication and recommended a low-carbohydrate and low fat-diet. The screening was carried out using a test called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, on which Trump scored 30/30, Jackson said.

Trump is well known for questioning whether exercise is beneficial and doesn't appear to get any beyond golfing with a cart.

"The president does take Ambien [a sleep aid]. on overseas travel", Jackson said. Some people just haven't done that as part of their routine.

Asked how a man who preferred McDonalds - "two Big Macs, two fillet-o-fish and a chocolate malted" on the campaign - could be so healthy, the doctor said, conceding he was impressed too, it could be due to his "incredibly good genes". So, that's his current exercise regimen: walk, this, that, run next door.

Jackson was appointed to be the official White House doctor by Obama in 2013.

"The president's overall health is excellent", the report said in conclusion.

Questions and answers about executive privilege
He didn't open up even when the panel took the unusual step of serving him with a subpoena during the hearing. He was questioned behind closed doors on Tuesday in a 10-hour meeting.
