Fire Breaks Out In Delhi Plastic Factory, Atleast 10 Killed

Nine people have been killed in a fire that broke out at a plastic factory in Delhi's Bawana Industrial Area, ANI reported.

According to the official, there is a rubber factory on the second storey of the firecracker factory. The fire was doused after three hours. "Some others are still feared trapped inside", a Delhi Fire Services officer said, adding that the condition of four persons is critical. "The highrise buildings are our main concern as such a fire can affect neighbouring buildings, which has happened in this case as well", said Delhi Fire Services chief G C Mishra.

North Delhi mayor Preety Agarwal has rushed to the spot, a senior NDMC official said. "Learnt about a serious fire incident in a private factory at Bawana". The fire official said they have contained the blaze but rescue operations are still on. 15 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and soon contained the level 4 category fire.
