If VanZant suffered the break during an attempt at a spinning back-fist, which it seems she is suggesting, that wouldn't come as a major surprise.

On getting rocked early on in the fight with Kalindra Faria: "I knew she had gotten a couple hits in there". I think it'll be fun.

VanZant, who now fights in the 125-pound weight class, once competed in the 115-pound class, which required dramatic cuts.

"Well... I broke my arm in the first", wrote VanZant.

"I do like that she's an exciting fighter, and she tries fun stuff".

"It was to the point where I needed 100 percent focus on me and I needed to be selfish and know that it's my time and I'm not going to get better unless people are focused on me and I have that in OR", she said. "I was able to finish the fight but as you can see, had a hard [time] recovering and throwing my right".

More than a year removed from her last appearance in the Octagon, the 23-year-old has changed addresses, changed teams and changed divisions, though she remains as exuberant as ever. "God had other plans for me", she continued before adding "darn spinning back fist".
