Arsenal set to offer striker plus cash in bid to sign Aubameyang

Borussia Dortmund are listening to offers for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Arsenal have emerged as one of the options for the Gabonese star.

The January transfer window couldn't come soon enough for Arsenal, with the imminent departure of star-man Alexis Sanchez, it looks like the Gunners could finally have some luck in the transfer department.

Like Sanchez, Aubameyang was not involved in his side's game on Sunday after being left out of the squad for missing a team meeting the day before.

The Telegraph's Matt Law reported the potential sale of Alexis Sanchez could influence a move for Aubameyang, who was brought to Dortmund by Arsenal's new head of scouting, Sven Mislintat.

However, The Telegraph claim Arsene Wenger needs convincing before a deal for the Gabon global gets the go-ahead.

Bookmakers make Arsenal odds on to be Aubameyang's next club, should he move on with Coral pricing him at 4/6. The Armenian global may be involved in part-exchange in any deal which takes Sanchez to United.

On to the next game for ´proud´ Tottenham record-breaker Kane
Kane grabbed Spurs' second goal just after the break as he latched on to Heung-min Son's cross, finishing from close range. Irons captain Mark Noble broke the deadlock after 25 minutes but Joe Lolley equalised five minutes before half-time.

There is a correlation between the behaviour and attitude of a player and their happiness at their club, which indicates a sense of unsettlement for Aubameyang at Dortmund.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc echoed that sentiment: 'We had a very controversial discussion. It is clear: It can not go on like this. "I didn't want to travel with him and suddenly he does go somewhere".

"It brings unease into the team and that's not good", Zorc added.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino has allowed Marcus Edwards to join Norwich City on loan for the rest of the season.

Edwards, who made his Tottenham debut as a substitute in the League Cup against Gillingham in September 2016, has been unable to force himself back into first-team contention this season. He was a part of the England squad that won the European Under-19 Championship last July.
