ESPN Features First-Down Marker Cams For College Football Playoff

After dominating the first half of Monday's College Football Playoff national championship against Alabama, it looked like the Bulldogs would waltz their way to the team's first national title since 1980.

The Georgia Bulldogs returned to Athens today after a devastating overtime loss in the National Championship game. But the Tide got its revenge in OT in jaw-dropping fashion. Before all that, with everything still going against Alabama, the kid somehow scrambles to his right and then to his left on third-and-seven and gets nine yards to keep Alabama's first touchdown drive going.

But had Nick Saban not rolled the dice at the half, would the Crimson Tide quarterback have been looking for a way out of the program?

"Look, we have two good quarterbacks on our team, no doubt", Saban said Tuesday. Jake Fromm paced the offense, and threw a touchdown pass in the 3rd quarter to re-establish the Bulldogs 13-point lead.

Police have said they believed Finch was armed when he moved his hands toward his waistband and then motioned toward officers. The 25-year-old is also charged with giving false alarm and interference with a law enforcement officer.

Browning tweeted: "If parts of our playbook were tweeted out like this coach Pete would be close to just spontaneously combust into thin air out of anger". Radio host of The Cube Show on The UMP sports radio, Cole Cubelic, said this championship win carries extra excitement for Alabama fans this year. Hurts finished the second half with only 21 passing yards and his 47 yards on the ground were the only thing that helped Bama get passed midfield.

A game full twists and turns, Lyons felt like he actually played against Georgia Monday night. You might still get a Power 5 conference victor - Pac-12, anybody? - that's not as good as the third or fourth best team from another conference, but the debate would still be a lot of fun. The Tide won with Saban grasping for straws this time, not mechanically processing and dominating one situation after another.

When asked where he would rank Saban's accomplishments all-time, Fisher wasn't ready to make any big declarations. "I mean, it was a team effort - [It] couldn't have been done if the defense didn't give us the ball back, the offensive line didn't do their job and receivers didn't catch, [it was a] team effort".

"We worked as a team and we never let go", freshman running back Najee Harris said. His record as the Alabama starter was 25-2.

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is not being considered despite his availability since he was sacked by Bayern Munich.

What if I were to tell you that Saban isn't slowing down at the age of 66, and that after winning six national titles, including one with LSU in 2003, he's still adapting and finding new ways to crush the competition? After Tagovailoa's one really bad throw, one that caused an interception, Fromm threw a ball that bounced off a helmet and ended up in the hands of Alabama's Raekwon Davis.

Apart from the final play, here's why Georgia lost the national championship game.

Georgia needed to do something to regain control of the game. Not even in the movies.
