Serena Williams says motherhood may make her better player

Serena Williams says motherhood may make her better player

Back when Serena Williams originally announced her baby's arrival, via social media postings with her husband Alexis Ohanian in September, she said in a video, "We had a lot of complications, but look what we've got".

In a story posted Wednesday on, Williams opens up about her harrowing delivery at St. Mary's Medical Center in Palm Beach on Sept 1, 2017. The tennis superstar told the magazine that despite her easy pregnancy, she had to have an emergency C-section after her heart rate dropped during contractions. "And then everything went bad". Her previous blood clot experiences have been equally dramatic. She had stopped taking her daily anticoagulant regime because of her recent procedure.

Most daily smokers get hooked after first cigarette, study finds
Most of the people who are now addicted to smoking are the ones who started off with "what harm could one cigarette do". Young people in the United Kingdom are decreasing from the 2010 to the 2016.

The next ordeal came after her fresh C-section wound opened up from coughing spells, caused by pulmonary embolism.

"I was like, a Doppler? I told you, I need a CT scan and a heparin drip", Williams recalls telling hospital staff. She alerted a nurse and was given an ultrasound scan. "It's not a secret that I have my sights on 25", she said. Still, a six-day medical crisis followed. During the subsequent surgery to close it, her doctors discovered that a large hematoma had flooded her abdomen as a result of these complications. She also needed a filter inserted in a vein to prevent further clots and was forced to rest in bed for six weeks.

OJ Simpson finally addresses those rumours that he's Khloé Kardashian's real dad
In 2012, gossip sites said a photo of Khloe Kardashian with family hair dresser Alex Roldan proved he was her father. Finally, after years of waiting on a confirmation from Simpson, TMZ caught up with the former football running back.

"I'm not sure why we think that way, but I know that we're sometimes taught to not dream as big as men, not to believe we can be a president or a CEO, when in the same household a male child is told he can be anything he wants". As the baby is named after her father, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, Williams has taken to calling her daughter by her middle name, Olympia. "Consider for a moment that your body is one of the greatest things on this planet, and you're trapped in it". "I've broken down I don't know how many times", she added. It will be cool to see if I get there again, to what I call my spot-where I feel I belong. "And actually, I think having a baby might help".

Williams initially wanted to return to the Australian Open later this month - which she won previous year while pregnant - but pulled out as she eyes a return to the court at Indian Wells in March.
