The special CBI court in Ranchi will be delivering its judgment in another case of fodder scam on January 24.

It may be mentioned that Lalu Prasad was convicted and sentenced to three and half years jail term in connection with illegal withdrawal of Rs. 89 lacs from the Deoghar treasury when he was the chief minister between 1994-96. Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu's son, said the family had tried to communicate the news of Gangotri's death to the minister through the prison authorities in Ranchi.

Transporters/suppliers Tripurari Mohan Prasad got seven years imprisonment and Rs 10 lakh fine while Sushil Kumar Sinha was given three-and-a half years in jail and a fine of Rs 5 lakh. "Laluji never asked anyone to go to jail", the RJD spokesperson was quoted as saying by TOI.
