Fired Google memo author sues company alleging discrimination against conservative white men

So far, online reactions to the lawsuit have varied.

"Google's open hostility for conservative thought is paired with invidious discrimination on the basis of race and gender, barred by law", the lawsuit says. Damore, Gudeman, and other class members were ostracized, belittled, and punished for their heterodox political views, and for the added sin of their birth circumstances of being Caucasians and/or males.

Debate surrounding discrimination in the male-dominated tech world has raged for months, with women at numerous major Silicon Valley companies coming forward with stories of bias and sexual harassment.

More broadly, the lawsuit alleges that Google - perhaps dominated by employees who voted Democratic in 2016 - has not shielded Donald Trump-supporting employees from harassment.

CEO Sundar Pichai said in a note to employees distributed in August that portions of Damore's memo "violate our Code of Conduct and cross the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace".

As most people already know, Damore was castigated throughout media outlets for the memo and was shortly thereafter fired.

Lions coaching candidate Matt Patricia favors New York Giants, report says
Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports "that all signs are pointing to Matt Patricia " as Big Blue's next head coach. The Giants cannot officially come to terms on a contract with Patricia until New England's season comes to an end.

Damore isn't holding back any punches here.

Gudeman worked for Google for three years before being terminated over comments he made on an internal company chat board in which he questioned whether a Muslim coworker really had been targeted by the Feds for investigation.

The company has never given any indication that it fired Damore for his political views. The lawsuit goes on to claim the company tolerated other employees recommending conservatives be fired for their opinions.

Google's headquarters in Mountain View, California. It will look especially egregious in court for Google.

It also claimed that Google actively discriminated against "conservative parenting styles".

The duo claims that Google discriminates against white male conservatives.

The suit claims that Google uses "extreme" and "illegal" practices to keep these dudes down.

Google has been accused, in two separate lawsuits, of discriminating against conservative white men and underpaying female employees.

Google defended, excused, or ignored these harassing posts from the Liberals working at the company, proving that there was a clear discriminatory bias at Google's headquarters. There is lengthy criticism of the way in which "either Porat or Naughton pointed out and shamed individual departments at Google in which women comprised less than 50% of the workforce".

Damore, who has remained unemployed since leaving Google, and his co-plaintiff are asking for compensatory and punitive damages against the company.

Damore's class action suit comes about four months after his firing.

While he was no longer able to spread those ideas at the company, he was now free to spread those ideas on national news outlets as a sort of fresh spokesperson for the anti-Social Justice Warriors.
