Highsmith will serve as the Browns' Vice President of Player Personnel. Wolf will serve as the team's assistant general manager, while Highsmith has been named the vice president of player personnel.

Cleveland now has a very distinct Green Bay feel to its front office. Wolf reportedly also had an opportunity to join Reggie McKenzie with the Oakland Raiders.

Wolf's move to Cleveland comes in the wake of the Packers naming Brian Gutekunst as their next general manager to replace Ted Thompson. "Adding Eliot and Alonzo to our personnel leadership group, that already includes Andrew Berry, will strengthen us and help us develop into the type of personnel department we need to achieve the success our great fans deserve".

The Packers have signed eight players to futures deals: Bouagnon, linebacker Ahmad Thomas, guard Kofi Amichia, receivers DeAngelo Yancey, Jake Kumerow and Colby Pearson, tight end Robert Tonyan and long snapper Zach Triner. He has worked in the Packers front office for 19 seasons, including 13 years in the Packers college scouting staff, working for Dorsey.

Also, having a few veterans at key positions in addition to a dynamic young running back will aid in the process. However, he and Dorsey were unable to get that type of consistent production out of Newton and the passing game.

"This is going to be an exciting challenge", Highsmith said.

"I'm grateful to have the opportunity to be part of something special". After the Browns have compiled a 1-31 record the last two seasons, Dorsey and company are looking to add significant talent to the roster to make sure another miserable season does not happen. The Packers also ranked second in the National Football League with an average of 25.3 points per game from 1999-17.
