Pink to perform US national anthem at Super Bowl

Now all that remains to be determined is which teams will play in the Super Bowl.

Pink (or P!NK, as she refers to herself) will sing the national anthem at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis for Super Bowl LII.

She's also won three Grammy Awards after being nominated 18 times over the course of her career - which seems good!

But fans shouldn't worry too much about Pink's finances. Three time Grammy award victor P!nk will sing this year's Star Spangled Banner.

A couple days ago, Pink may have foreshadowed this announcement in a tweet about her excitement for 2018: "I'm really looking forward to 2018". Actor and director Alexandria Wailes will perform both the National Anthem and "America the Beautiful" alongside the popular singer, but in American Sign Language on behalf of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD). She also took a shot at President Donald Trump. She tweeted, "You are doing a awful job..."

The programme, which was due to be aired on Boxing Day, was pulled after leading man Ed Westwick was accused of sexual assault. At the time, a BBC spokesperson said: "These are serious allegations which Ed Westwick has strenuously denied ".

Super Bowl 52 is less than a month away in Minnesota. The NFL does not pay halftime performers, either.

Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake has been announced as the half-time show act - making it his third time at the event - meaning he will clock up more appearances at the National Football League (NFL) showpiece than any other individual entertainer.

Pink will pair up with Justin Timberlake, who was announced in October as the halftime performer for Super Bowl LII, to provide the entertainment in Minneapolis. The charismatic multi-talented superstar will take the Super Bowl halftime show stage the third time in his career on February 4.
