Saints defeat the Panthers 31-26, advance to NFC divisional round

Bell knows Olsen's chemistry with quarterback Cam Newton makes him a threat on any play. The team that won the two regular season matchups is 13-7 SU in those 20 instances. However, with that said, two NFC South teams have never been pitted against each other three times in one season.

The third match-up between the Carolina Panthers (11-5) and the New Orleans Saints (11-5) will take place this weekend in the NFC Wildcard round of the playoffs. The former Ohio State Buckeye will get to match talents with former MI wide receiver Devin Funchess, who leads the Panthers with 63 catches for 840 yards and eight touchdowns. Two plays later, Drew Brees found Ted Ginn deep down the middle.

For the Saints it's been the revelation that is Alvin Kamara. The Saints are a 7-point favorite, according to Vegas Insider.

From the wild-card round through Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, ESPN.com has the playoffs covered. In the last four games against New Orleans, Olsen has totaled 390 receiving yards on 27 receptions.

Meanwhile, Carolina quarterback Cam Newton was bad, passing for just 167 yards and three interceptions.

When it comes to the playoffs, the Carolina Panthers have been there, done that.

New Orleans' defence held from there, however.

There's a simple explanation as to why the New Orleans Saints twice humbled the Carolina Panthers during the regular season. For Carolina to buck that trend, the Panthers will need to slow down a Saints offense that has averaged 32.8 points per game in the last five games of this series.

It was also the longest Saints touchdown in the playoffs since the 2009 divisional round when Reggie Bush had an 83-yard punt return. Kamara had 1,554 yards and 13 touchdowns from scrimmage along with 347 kick return yards and one return score on 11 tries.

The game will also reunite former Bills tackle Marcel Dareus, a former first-round pick, who the Bills traded to the Jaguars earlier this season.

The duo rushed for almost 2,000 yards combined in the regular-season.

The Jaguars advanced to face the second-seeded Steelers on January 14 in Pittsburgh.

The Jaguars were finally able to move the ball on the final drive of the half.

Moving the football down the field was not a problem for the Panthers Sunday, at least not until they got near the red zone. Josh Lambo tied it with 2 seconds remaining on a 44-yard field goal. First-round draft choice cornerback Marshon Lattimore missed both Carolina games with injuries.

"He's definitely going to do his thing, but we're going to go out there, we're going to execute and do our thing, too", Te'o said. That kicked off an eight-game winning streak that would be snapped by the Los Angeles Rams. "Two of those teams came from last to first (Jacksonville and Philadelphia)".

He then proceeded to have Hashim Amla caught behind for three runs, which left the Proteas reeling at 12/3. India ended day one on 28/3 and will continue batting on Saturday at 10:30 local time or 08:30 GMT.

"It's going to be a change, but I don't want to think about that yet", Schug said.

"You're talking about one of the better tight ends in the game and so not having him is significant and having him (in the previous games) is huge", Saints coach Sean Payton said.

Not all Saints will be so familiar with the Panthers.

The Panthers-Saints victor will play at Minnesota next week.

The defense struggled mightily before a late-season switch from fired coordinator Ken Norton Jr.to play-caller John Pagano. The team announced the move Saturday as soon as Gruden finished his final broadcast as an announcer for ESPN.
