Nintendo Switch Becomes Fastest-Selling Game Console Ever

Nintendo Switch Becomes Fastest-Selling Game Console Ever

The hybrid console has been on the market for less than a year and has not only blown past the sales of Wii in that time, itself an enormous success, but cemented itself as the fastest selling console of all-time in the United States.

The Switch has sold 4.8 million units in the United States in its first 10 months on the market, beating the previous all-time best seller - Nintendo's Wii - which sold 4 million USA units in the first 10 months following its release.

Nintendo also sold almost 3.3 million units in Japan in its first year on the market in the company's home country. This is an incredible feat from Nintendo, and really just goes to show how poorly the Wii U did in its homeland.

WTA BRISBANE - Revelation Sasnovich will face Svitolina for the title
However Sasnovich finally clinched a main draw berth and has not looked back, extending her giant killing run to seven matches. The win means that Svitolina has now won six WTA titles in the last 12 months and extends her record in WTA finals to 10-2.

This is an impressive feat, even if you consider the Switch to be handheld device.

The Nintendo Switch now has more than 300 3rd party games although none of them is as impressive as Nintendo's own title yet.

The Switch previously set a Nintendo record for fastest-selling console during its first two days on the market. In the United States, more than 60 percent of Nintendo Switch owners have Super Mario Odyssey, and over 55 percent own the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

New Zealand v Pakistan, first ODI
In the last tour to New Zealand , Pakistan undertook nearly a year ago, the visitors had to suffer an ODI series loss by 2-0. Pakistan's bowling ranks, however, are limited without the injured Junaid Khan, Usman Khan Shinwari and Imad Wasim.

The company attributed the Switch's strong showing to a strong library of games, including Super Mario Odyssey which some 60% of U.S. Switch owners have purchased.

Now, as 2018 kicks into gear, the general sentiment seems to be that Nintendo used up all their big guns for that opening salvo, leaving very little to satiate fans for the remainder.

Twitter explains why it won't block Trump
There are good arguments for Twitter to police hate speech , personal harassment, pornography, and other forms of abuse. Whether Trump has in fact violated Twitter's policies on user behavior is an open debate.
