Netflix Debuts Teaser For David Letterman's New Series

Obama's appearance on the new show marks the former president's first television interview since leaving office a year ago.

Netflix announced Friday that Letterman's return to television will begin streaming on January 12 with the 60-minute episode featuring Obama's first talk-show appearance since leaving office.

David Letterman is back, and he's keeping his giant Santa Claus beard. The hourlong series will premiere next Friday, and five subsequent episodes will bow monthly through the first half of the year. So we weren't surprised to learn last summer that David Letterman was putting together an original series for Netflix.

Consumers 'sending clear message to vehicle industry' over diesel engines
Confusion over the cleanliness and tax position of diesel cars - and a big fall in their sales - is behind the increase. Sales of alternatively fuelled vehicles, including electric and hybrid vehicles, saw a rise of 34.8% to nearly 120,000.

Netflix has also revealed Letterman's lineup of guests, which includes George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, JAY-Z, Tina Fey, Howard Stern and former United States president Barack Obama.

In 2015, Letterman signed off from The Late Show after more than three decades on the air.

News of the series was first announced in August. There will be six hour-long episodes total.

Lingard and Lukaku give Man United late 2-0 win over Derby
Marcus Rashford was the guiltiest party in the first half with a poor point-blank header that he tamely nodded against the post. In the 24th minute, United earned a free-kick on the edge of the Derby box but Mata's effort was saved brilliantly by Carson.

The in-studio and outside of the studio interview series is set to be "intimate, in-depth, and far reaching", but it will be mixed in with the humor that fans have come to expect from Letterman.

Obama is just the beginning for the Netflix-Letterman collaboration.
