Truck belonging to Bucs' Jackson found to have marijuana, bullets

The vehicle, a Chevy Silverado, was found Sunday night by police with the driver nowhere in sight.

"It was a friend of DeSean's who borrowed his vehicle while he was out of town". According to the report, Jackson wasn't cooperating initially, then gave officers the name of the driver.

Jackson missed the Buccaneers' matchup last week due to an ankle injury, and it's unclear whether he will suit up for Tampa Bay in their season finale this Sunday.

Though, one of Jackson's representatives, Denise White, is claming that a friend was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. The police said Jackson, at first, declined to cooperate with them as part of the investigation, but later obliged and passed on the name of the person who was driving the vehicle.

Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht also released a statement, saying, "We are aware of a one-car accident involving a vehicle registered to DeSean Jackson on the night of December 24".

In his first year with Tampa Bay, Jackson has 50 catches for 668 yards and three touchdowns. The former Pro Bowl receiver made headlines earlier this year when he and teammate Mike Evans chose to kneel in protest during the national anthem during the Bucs' game at Minnesota in September.
